Note from Jed's Desk (#17)

Posted by Jed Mullenix on

Harbor, as we wrap up plans for our summer series, God-Breathed, we would love a few more Scripture passages to consider for the series. Please visit (this link) and share a Scripture passage that has been life-shaping for you and tell us why! You never know...we might just teach from your suggested text in the upcoming weeks.

This summer, we're gathering each weekend on Sunday mornings at 9 & 10:30. A big thank you to those of you who made the switch to the 9am gathering to open up seats and parking spaces to first time guests. We appreciate your willingness to give up what you love for those you love!

As we prepare for our final weekend of Fix Your Thoughts, read Colossians 3:1-4.

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in hall his glory.

This week, I'll be sharing with you about this life-changing truth.

On the cross, Jesus not only took our sinful record, he gave us his perfect record!

When you begin to realize that Jesus not only took the sin we committed and the penalty we deserved, but he in turn gave us his flawless record of faithfulness to the Father, it will change your life. To grow in Christ, we must first recognize who we are in Christ - holy, blameless, and without a single fault (Colossians 1:22).

As you prepare for the weekend, consider inviting a friend to join you!
Never underestimate the power of a simple invitation
