Lead Pastor
Jed and his wife Beth moved to New England to join the team at Harbor of Hope in 2006. They have four children, Jarin, Brooks, Karlie and Elise. His three favorite places to go are: Panera (with his wife), to the back yard (with his kids), or to Starbucks. Jed used to live in Hawaii, and although he never actually made it up on a surf board, he got a lot of sun and has many memories. Although the tan is gone today and nowhere to be found, the memories still remain.
Pastor, Director of Creative Arts
Jeff and his wife Jennifer joined our team the summer of 2008. They have two girls, Aria and Meira. Jeff brings a relational and creative leadership style to our staff. When he is not spending time with his family, you might find him at a local Indie Rock concert, or playing one of his two optigans (google that), or watching documentaries. We're thankful that Jeff chose to trade the heat of North Carolina for the cool of New England to partner with us by leading musicians and artists in communicating spiritual truth with a creative voice.
Director of Children's Ministry
Kenny and his wife Jackie joined our team in Fall 2009. In November, 2009 they were blessed with the birth of their first daughter, Annabelle Grace. Kenny and Jackie are excited to be at Harbor and partner together with them to help people (and Kids!) find their way back to God. Kenny enjoys spending time with his family, playing and creating music, and spending time with people, usually over a breakfast or lunch.
Steve and Danielle Athanas
Directors of Student Ministry
Steve and Danielle Athanas were both born and raised in New England and have been at Harbor of Hope since 2006. They love helping teens explore their faith in a real and practical way. They will soon live in Tyngsboro MA and are excited to be moving back to the area. Spending time with their friends & family is one of their favorite things to do, as is spending time by the ocean. They are professed Disney-freaks and try to visit Walt Disney World annually.
Priscila Tanaka-Keliher
Director of Communications
Priscila is our in-house, multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and multi-talented specialist. She keeps us on our toes in the areas of communication, organization, and multi-cultural cuisine. Priscila joined the team at Harbor after moving to New England from Montreal, along with her husband, Nathan. Priscila has both a passion and ability to make people feel welcome and 'at home' at Harbor. If you want to get connected at Harbor in any way, chances are that you'll get connected through Priscila. It just kind of works best that way...
Tom Laird
Director of Finance and Generosity
Tom has been with Harbor of Hope since 2003. He and his wife Nancy have three grown children and six grandchildren. Tom spent his career in the finance and tax field, and recently retired from a large utility company. Tom brings a passion for leading people away from financial chaos and towards financial freedom through the use of practical teaching and tools. He spends his free time playing with the grand kids and enjoying summer days boating on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Director of Leadership Development
Mike has been with Harbor of Hope since its beginning. His two daughters who are fully-grown and independent. Mike recently retired from the Orchard Group Church planting organization as its business manager. He has worked as an administrative or financial manager for organizations in the greater Boston area most of his life. He spends his free time reading, at the gym or following his favorite teams, the Red Sox and the Patriots.
John Emery
Ministry Resident
John is a graduate of Endicott College's School of Art and Design, where he met his wife, Elyse. He studied Visual Communications with a concentration in Graphic Design. A skateboarder and musician at heart, John loves to spend his time outside, playing volleyball, writing music, and leading worship, which he continues to do within the community of Harbor. John oversees Harbor's Visual Communcations, as well as helping with the Student Ministry, and overseeing Monvee, a spiritual growth tool.
