Note from Jed's Desk (#5)

Posted by Jed Mullenix on

Harbor,

In the upcoming weeks there are several opportunities for you to become more connected with our community or to take a next step in your faith in Jesus.

  1. Baptism Celebration – On February 7th & 8th, we will celebrate with individuals who are publicly confessing their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism. If you haven’t been baptized to announce and celebrate your faith in Jesus, consider joining us for the celebration. For more information about baptism, please email  .
  2. Volunteer – Two of our weekend ministries have some very specific needs for volunteers. Harbor’s Fair Trade Café and communion prep teams have opportunities available on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings for you to participate in. If you’ve been looking for a way to partner with our community in ministry, go to www.harborofhope.org/volunteer or email us directly at the address above. A big thanks to those of you who have already responded!
  3. Blanket the Valley – We’re partnering with the Wish Project to help provide warm blankets and coats to our neighbors in the Merrimack Valley. If you have new or gently used items to share, bring them with you this weekend as a simple way to bless others through generosity.

This weekend, we will begin a new series called Encounters with Jesus. We’ll be looking at moments when Jesus spent time with ordinary women and men and answered their deepest questions through life transforming conversations and experiences.

In preparation for the weekend, read John 1:35-51.

Finally...as you can imagine, we lost several parking spots in our main lot due to the snowstorm! So...if Harbor is your home church and you are able, please consider parking in the overflow lot to give the best parking spots to our new guests, young families, and those who need close access to our front door.

You’ll recognize the overflow lot by the signs and can access our space through door A, Dance New England, or the path that connects the two lots! Thank you for caring for people by giving up the best spot to take the less desirable spot!

I’ll see you this weekend.
