Sex Trafficking Seminar
There is a pandemic of human trafficking across the globe, and while we would rather think that it is “over there” and not “here” we would be very, very wrong.
Please join us at Harbor of Hope on Saturday, September 29 at 9:00 AM to learn more about the risk that every child faces. This includes girls and boys in every state in our country and probably in our very own community. If we do not see it, it is because we do not know what to look for and we are not looking. In this presentation including video stories from survivors, Gail Holland will provide an overview of human trafficking and specifically the rapidly growing industry of commercial sex trafficking. This presentation is open to all adults (men & women).
Who is vulnerable? How are they victimized? Who are the perpetrators? What are the signs of trafficking? What role does the internet play? What can and should we do? Resource handouts will be available and plenty of time for questions before wrapping up by noon.
