Underground
The Underground is Harbor of Hope's student ministry. We work with students from 6th-12th grade. Our goal is to bring students in from a life away from Christ, build them up to maturity in Christ, and send them out to live for Him in their very secular and materialistic world. Does that sound too lofty? We feel that with the right team and right content these goals are possible. We use a highly relational approach with students, giving them a voice and a place to connect, a place to be yourself and a place to speak your mind. At the same time we are grounded in the truth of the Word of God and encourage our students strongly to live out their faith in very practical ways.
Here are the current meetings for students in grades 6-12:
Middle School (Grades 6-8): Every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30 in the Harbor of Hope multi-purpose room. Our middle school group is very focused on meeting students where they are at in life. Students can explore faith in a fantastic age-appropriate setting that focuses on building and understanding faith.
High School (Grades 9-12), Message Series Application: Every other Sunday morning from 9:45 - 10:30 in the Orchard Group front office, right off the main entrance hallway to Harbor of Hope. This discussion will focus on how students can practically apply the messages they hear during Harbor's weekly services.
High School (Grades 9-12), Weekly Meeting/Bible Study: Every Sunday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 in the Harbor of Hope multi-purpose room. This is a weekly time to get together, play a few games, discuss our weeks, and spend some time discussing how Christ calls us to live our daily lives.
Regardless of which classes your student is interested in, you can be sure they will have a great time, and experience some fantastic fellowship in the Underground! For additional information, please contact Harbor of Hope's office at .
