Acts 2:44 - NEEDS Ministry
- Nov 30, 2009
“What’s mine is yours.”
We live in a culture that is driven by accumulation; storing up more things than we can ever use. These things that were once NEW and attractive to us have lost their ‘oomph’ and sit in the corners of our garages or in the closets in our basements.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be free of some of these things?
And to be sure that these things don’t go to waste, we’d really like them to go to someone with that exact need. We have the Lowell Wish Project for the less-fortunate and we hope that our partnership with them grows exponentially over the upcoming years, but what about within our community at Harbor?
There are people at Harbor that are struggling to stay afloat, whether it’s providing nice things for their kids, whether it’s clothing that they just can’t afford, or even home appliances (washer and dryer, computer printers, lawn mowers, etc.)
In tough financial times, Harbor of Hope should be a safe-haven for its’ own members.
We help solve people’s needs.
We help bridge the gap between the needs and the generous.
This helps the community to act upon the GIVE within Live, Love, Give. Acting upon something spurs the heart to embrace it as an unchanging personality trait. It ingrains this act of generosity to be something they begin to LOVE, and in turn, allows each member to LIVE fully.
